The house entrance of this heritage house belies its American inspired looks with a bracketed galvanized iron (GI) sheet media agua, or secondary roof to help protect windows from rain and excessive rainfall. Upper floors still have traditional capiz windows, though the ground floor windows now sport glass-paned windows over a canopy.
